The problem of corrosion resistance of chemical process pumps has always been one of the headaches of chemical machinery and equipment. There is generally a misconception that stainless steel is an "all-round material". No matter what the material and natural conditions are, stainless steel will be used. This is very dangerous.
Chemical process pumps are widely used in all walks of life in the chemical manufacturing industry. They are important in chemical plants, metallurgical industries, pharmaceutical industries, chemical foils and other fields. Chemical process pumps also transport materials through centrifugal force. There are many types of process pumps. According to their basic scientific concepts, they can be divided into variable piston pumps, such as centrifugal water pumps, mixed flow pumps, mixed flow pumps, partial flow pumps, vortex pumps, etc.; positive displacement pumps, such as reciprocating pumps; rotary pumps; other types of pumps, such as jet pumps, magnetic drive pumps, water hammer pumps, etc. According to the production process or product characteristics, high-pressure methylamine pumps, cryogenic pumps, ammonium sulfate slurry pumps, etc. can be divided into dividends at the end of the year.

- After the lifting and filling season is completed, the centrifugal pumps must be carefully cleaned and inspected. Parts that are found to be damaged or deformed and cannot be used normally must be repaired and replaced with new ones, and the lubricated parts should be filled with appropriate fuel; if the centrifugal pump is not used for a long time, it should be packaged and stored in a dry place.
2. For screws that are twisted daily, such as packing gland screws and water injection plugs, use appropriate wrenches and reasonable torque to disassemble them. Do not twist with pliers to prevent the thread or nut from loosening. For other screws, apply some grease from the top or wipe them with oil paper regularly for rust prevention. If the water-adding screws are not often used, they are easy to rust. Therefore, after buying a new centrifugal water pump, you must unscrew the water-adding plug, apply some motor oil and white oil on the thread, and then change the new oil two or three times a year.
3. For centrifugal water pumps lubricated with engine oil, the grease should be replaced once a month; for those lubricated with butter, change them once every six months. It should be noted that high-temperature resistant grease is used for centrifugal water pumps and sodium-based grease is used for motors. They should not be used incorrectly. Because sodium-based grease is hydrophilic, it will demulsify into foam and dissipate when it encounters water on the submersible pump, while high-temperature resistant grease is afraid of continuous high temperature. It is used on motors and is easy to melt when the temperature rises.
